Conner Prairie Fishers, Indiana #VisitHC #sponsored

July 12, 2017 By Thaleia 7 Comments

I will be the first one to admit that I totally underestimated the size and scope of Conner Prairie. If I had done my research I would have made sure that we had given ourselves a minimum of 4 to 5 hours to explore the history park. Since we left the house late and had an additional Pit Stop we were not able to enjoy all the things that Conner Prairie has to offer.

Mystery of History Volume 1 Free Resources

February 4, 2016 By Thaleia 9 Comments

Everyone loves free resources but not everyone loves History, right? If you are like me you may have grown up hating History due to all the memorization of dates, places and events that meant nothing. I did not have the luxury of being homeschooled like my children do and I am now more interested in History than I ever have been! I have recently listened to the free audio clip for the Mystery of History Volume 1 and promptly went and ordered the audio cd’s for my family!

C is for Civil War: Resources for Early Elementary

January 20, 2015 By Dusty Leave a Comment

The Civil War is an often talked about subject matter in our household. My husband is a buff when it comes to that era of history and if you get him really going on the topic, you just may not get him to stop.

I also grew up not far from Fredericksburg, Virginia so many of the war’s battlefields were places that I toured and explored throughout much of my life. Every visit to see my family includes a stop at one of the historical sites. We really enjoy it.
