We’re Growing and so are the Hill Family!

Hill family Adoption

Since I have not made an official announcement but hinted here and there: BABY #4 is on it’s way! Yes, a very good surprise even through all the “all-day” sickness (since it’s not just in the am:) The kids are very excited and Lil’ Red cannot wait to love and hold the new baby!

A wonderful blogger friend of mine, Christie Hill and hubby just found out that they are the chosen adoptive parents of a little girl to be born April 6! Our biggest passion is to see others put their hope and trust in Christ. God has set the nations in our heart and has blessed us over the years to travel to many nations on missions trips. Through that, we have felt the desire to adopt internationally from Africa and start a family. Our hope is to adopt two kids! Therefore, I named our store: Adopting Nations

Since we are both school teachers, and adoption is very costly, I began to think of ways to raise money after school hours and remembered that I can sew! My grandma taught me at a young age, and I love the idea that even though she isn’t with me physically, her legacy lives on through my sewing and is bring her great grandchildren home. I love fabrics, especially ones I find internationally like batiks, and I love the creative process as well. I sew anything my heart can dream up but mostly home decor items such as pillowcases, blankets, purses, tote bags, etc…

Besides raising money for our adoption, my hope is that people will be encouraged by the story of our journey to trust God more in their own adoption journey or whatever it is that they are believing to happen in their families. You can follow our journey and read our story on our Adopting Nations Blog.
