It’s 4th of July here in the USA but you can learn about the star shape all year long. Lil’ Red really enjoyed creating his star crepe paper art. I quickly gathered supplies for this project which we happened to already have around the house.
I created a printable with 9 stars on it using it as a guide for the star shapes. Then I helped to tear up the blue crepe paper streamer into smaller pieces.
Lil’ Red got right to work using a glue stick to color in each star. I had to show him to put the torn blue crepe paper pieces on the stars quickly before the glue dried.
This didn’t phase him as he just opened up the glue stick and added more glue to the stars that didn’t have crepe paper. I think he really enjoyed this art project that really focused on fine motor and hand-eye coordination without Lil’ Red even knowing it!

My grandson will enjoy these. Thanks
Charlie would love this and I can see us even doing more items like this for Charlie that I wouldn’t have thought of. And just think of all the crepe paper I threw away we could have used.
Next time you have a party or go to a party grab a handful of their streamers, lol.
