Science On-The-Go Kit

June 7, 2014 By Thaleia 5 Comments

What does every little Scientist need? A bunch of tools and I have a great idea for an On-the-Go Kit of course. Just so happens I am a school and craft supply pack rat, lol. This can be a bad thing BUT for the most part is very good for our homeschool. My children have access to all sorts of fun goodies that mom has collected or saved for them.

Last Summer at a garage sale I picked up a water proof Id holder for $1 or less! I saw that little beauty on the table and knew I could use it somehow. I was getting ready for a park play date that just so happens to have a natural play area and a creek. Eureka time to pull out some fun science tools and be ready for Science On-The-Go!
I secretly want to be the fun mom who is envied but now that I am writing this post you can be, too! Wanna know what all I put in that little water-proof holder?

Here’s a list with a link to my Amazon wishlist which includes our affiliate link:)

Tiny Magnifying glass from a huge classroom kit that we got for free
Whistle- always good to have alternative way to communicate in case your child gets hurt, stung, etc.
Eye dropper- to collect creek water
Mini Microscope- to view things extra close, possibly on my phone screen
Loupe on a leather cord- found at a dollar store a couple of years ago

Thank you so much for linking up at the Geeky Educational Link Up. I love the idea of taking Science with you as you are out having fun. It makes it a lot easier to stop and explore and then move on when you need to.

What a fun ideal and some new items we can add to our own Back To School Shopping Supply list as I go out and pick up some more supplies for our classroom. I wonder if we will ever have everything we need?
