Potty Training On the Go!
Do you hear the familiar “Mommy, I gotta go potty?” every time you are in a store? Encouraging your little one to go potty can be a daunting task when the facilities are not up to your cleanliness standards. Potty training is a fact of life. So what do you do?
Well, I have come up with some options for you. Please do not laugh but they are the ones I could think of off the top of my head. We have not had to potty train anyone is over 5 years.
These are your three options:
1. Leave your potty training child home until potty trained. Not likely unless you have a full-time nanny or live in grandparent!
2. Pack a small potty in your car and try to set your child on it each and every time you arrive at your destination. Drag the potty with you which is fine if you are at grandma’s, visiting friends, a park,or at church. Not very practical at the grocery store or in the snow or rain unless you are driving a 12 passenger or 15 passenger van!
3. Use a potty cover. Never heard of them? Well, it is very similar to the adult paper potty covers, BUT they include a longer front and sides to help protect your little ones legs and hands from touching the potty! Super great invention for busy families on the go that are concerned about sanitation. These potty covers are not wimpy or easily torn.
I have a potty cover packed in my purse and the rest will be packed in our 72 hr. kits or on-the-go field trip bag. (Just not sure if we are ready for the potty seat in the back of the van since it will require a major overhaul of the “trunk” area contents.) Potty Cover’s are a great idea. My son wants to hold onto the toilet seat or try to stand up and pee. He is not quite tall enough but the day will come when he is. Potty Cover’s will help keep the germs done and the potty experiences more pleasant.
Description:
PottyCover is a disposable toilet seat cover for children that covers the sides and the front of the toilet, to keep away germs at public rest-rooms. It is made of non-woven fabric coated with a layer of plastic, creating a waterproof barrier between the toilet and the child. This product has the largest coverage of all seat covers on the market and for added convenience, each seat cover is individually packaged in a small, easy to open bag that makes it super easy to always keep one or two in a purse or a back pocket.
Using a public rest-room with a young child could be very stressful, but with PottyCovers the whole family can feel safe knowing that even at the filthiest bathrooms they will be protected from germs. We designed this product for kids, but it has become a must-have travel item for many of our adult customers.
Disclaimer: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
