Frugal Ways to Treat Yourself Like a Queen #VictoriaNovel

November 21, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Every mother deserves to feel like a Queen! You have endured a lot to bring a baby into this world from the long months of pregnancy to labor and delivery. Your child may be your world but your child also needs you to relax and refresh your mind, body, and soul! It is not selfish to treat yourself like a queen! You are special and should be considered royalty in your home. Today I will share some frugal ways to treat yourself like a Queen!

Frugal Ways to Treat Yourself Like a Queen

When is the last time you did something nice for yourself? If you are a WAHM like me it probably has been awhile unless you just ha d a birthday or you are reading this right after Mother’s Day! You should take a little time for yourself before the Holiday stress hits you full-on! You do not have to spend a lot to gain a lot.

Frugal Spa Time

Yes, I know that flip flip and sandal season is over for most of us as the cold blustery winter weather rolls in but pedicures are great year round! I always go to the local Career Technology School or Beauty School to receive a frugal spa treatment by a student. The prices are usually less than half of a traditional spa or salon which fits my budget perfectly!

Frugal Make Over

There are a few ways to have a frugal makeover. One idea is to schedule an appointment at a beauty county at your local department store. The other way to have a frugal makeover is to meet with your local Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. Since I know another homeschool mom, Candi Mitchem, who is a Beauty Consultant I asked her to help me with a makeover! She was more then happy to help me with learning a few simple eye shadow application techniques!

Frugal Wardrobe Update

A few ways to update your wardrobe are accessories! You can buy a scarf or layer an old top with a newer cardigan. You can grab a fun pair of rainboots with a pair of jeans. You can add a new necklace or bracelet and feel like an old outfit is completely new and put together. I was recently introduced to Maganabilities and so glad that I was. I love frugal ways to accessorize and the ability to buy a basic base and swap out the pieces to match all sorts of outfits is just my thing!

Frugal Ways to Relax

Listening to some music via Amazon Prime or picking up a great book are both frugal ways to relax. Since I am an Amazon Prime member I can listen to millions of tunes for free via Prime Music. When I am tired of being on a screen and want to visit a far away land or another era of time I grab a book! I have tried to read books in the car while hubby drives but that usually doesn’t work for me. I tend to read books in bed and my current read is Victoria! I was provided this book for free as part of the #VictoriaNovel Royal Reads Book Club via SheSpeaks!
