Today’s post is sponsored by Frisch’s® Big Boy® and I was compensated for this post but all opinions are my own.
Peppermint is to Winter as Pumpkin Spice is to Fall; both yummy and delicious! Frisch’s® Big Boy® and Chef Greg Grisanti have created a new twist to an old classic! The decadent chocolate Hot Fudge Cake that you have come to know has gotten a delicious makeover. Que the music as peppermint has been added to make Peppermint Hot Fudge Cake!
Of course, you cannot start with dessert, so you better eat your dinner first! This season’s menu includes mouthwatering dinner entrées featuring roast beef, country-fried steak, meatloaf, and turkey all served with side of green beans and mashed potatoes!
Ready to try Frisch’s® new Family Value Dinner Menu? Pass the rolls please and serve up some gravy!
I am super picky when it comes to mashed potatoes and gravy, but Frisch’s® potatoes and gravy passed the taste test. I really enjoyed the green beans as well and I am pretty spoiled to enjoy home grown home canned green beans on a regular basis.
Next we were served the meat choices: Roast Beef came out first with a bowl of gravy! It was very thinly sliced and very tasty.
Then we got to sample a half slice of Carved Turkey. The Carved Turkey was very nice in both flavor and texture.
And lastly some Meatloaf was brought out to sample. I personally did not care for the texture of the meatloaf (too soft) but I have mastered a recipe that my entire family loves!
Fun fact: did you know that Frisch’s® has been sponsoring the Cincinnati’s Nutcracker ballet since 1974! From the very first performance of “The Nutcracker” in 1974, Frisch’s® Restaurants has been the Cincinnati Ballet’s primary sponsor. It is one of the longest-lasting examples of corporate sponsorship in American arts history. That is one long time partnership which just so happens to be the longest in the country! As part of that partnership, Frisch’s® worked with members of the Cincinnati Ballet to launch Frisch’s® first-ever holiday edition of its best-selling dessert the Peppermint Hot Fudge Cake!
This dessert is both decadent and delicious and just the right amount of peppermint.
I also liked the hot fudge but the sprinkles of peppermint candy on top added just the right touch both visually and for your taste buds!
