We are fortunate to live within driving distance to a very large aquarium called Newport Aquarium. Today we are sharing some of the fun things to see at the Newport Aquarium. I wish I had more specific information to share with you about each species but it’s a very busy place and kids tend to wander off in excitement if not watched carefully.

We already love our local libraries but even more so during Summer Reading Club time. A couple of years ago the kids were picking out their weekly prize and one of them chose a grow a duck! Add in a small digital scale and viola you have a great Science experiment for preschool and elementary age students.
First you will need to find a clear container that will house the grow a duck. Next you will need to place it in the container covered with water. Then you will need to weigh your duck each day for a week.

Spring time just screams flowers and blooming plants to me. Why not share some flowers with your children in the form of flower and garden themed snacks. I think making super fun and cute food is a great way to get your picky eater to try some new foods.
