Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum Columbus, OH

April 3, 2017 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

If you like cartoons or comics and the history behind them then a visit to the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum will bring you great pleasure. As a child growing up I remember reading the weekly comics in the free rural newspaper that was tossed at the end of our driveway each week. I remember my grandparents having stacks of daily newspapers but mostly the comics section were the ones being saved!

How to Make Road Trips Memorable

March 14, 2017 By Thaleia 4 Comments

I long for a good old fashioned road trip. You know the kind where you have a final destination in mind but have not planned every detail or every moment because you want to really enjoy the trip. My husband remembers taking a few road trips with his mom and some family members from time to time growing up. This would give us time to stop a few extra times and not be bored at the ride but be excited for the journey.

I have been thinking of ways to make our road trips memorable and since I am a planner I thought of some things that I can look up before we hit the road.

As you walk up to COSI you are greeted with Science right off the bat! There are a variety of Dinosaur sculptures on the front right side of the building. Eldest took some pictures of the sculptures since there was quite the crowd outside with a special event.

It just so happened to be Farm Days at COSI during our visit. This event is held annually on the front lawn of COSI as well as many other themed events like Big Machines or EMS & Safety Days. The last Friday of the month is Family Friday Nights  when COSI stays open and offers a discount which includes a movie.

Tips and Tricks for Surviving a Last Minute Trip

February 2, 2017 By Thaleia 1 Comment

This is a sponsored post for Bootler but all opinions are mine.

Even though we tout ourselves as travel bloggers we can still be thrown for a loop when we have to travel at the last minute. You see usually it take weeks of preparation with hours being poured over travel guides and local tourist attraction sites. We usually get the kids involved in choosing something fun that they would like to do. This all goes out the window with a last minute trip such as a funeral.
