No matter what you blog about, offering up a tutorial or an informational/how-to post is a great way to show off your skills, engage your audience and encourage your visitors to come back for more. Don’t try to dazzle your audience with things you don’t know, just tell them what you know and how to do it. I guarantee they will appreciate your candor and the tutorial. A tutorial is always a good idea. Even if visitors don’t want to take the time to read the post, they will at least scroll through the pictures in the tutorial, and that keeps them on your site a little longer. By the way, what’s a Gelli plate?

    Hi Julie

I love your comments! A gelling plate is a flexible printing device for art projects. I’ll post a link from my blog so you can see one 🙂

I haven’t done any tutorials yet. Though one of my saved drafts is a how-to post. It is interesting to look at our blogs from different perspectives.

Thanks for the tips! I love topics three and seven as they are on target with the whole theme of my blog. I’ve been trying to come up with useful tips readers can take away and incorporate into their lives rather than just read about my thoughts and perspectives about life.

Thank you so much for sharing your good ideas. My blog is new and doesn’t have any followers yet but I will remember your tips! I also think that asking questions and getting your readers involved is an excellent idea!
